Through UCE Clubs, Talents have been Discovered

By Isaac Lema, Iringa, Tanzania (August 2013)- We held our sixth Iringa municipality UCE club session on July 27th, 2013. The most interesting part was the role play time. The role play was done by UCE club members from Mlamke Secondary School. UCE clubs have introduced drama groups. They use these groups as a tool to have fun, but also educate their peers. Many students enjoy the dramas, hence the attendance during the club session has risen from 40 students over 100.

During the Iringa municipality UCE club session, the students presented a role play which remained in the minds of all the students who attended. It covered the topic of abstaining until a faithful marriage. We are expecting to take the Mlamke club members to Tosamaganga so that the students their can be inspired by their peers. We have found that through the clubs, some students have discovered their talents for acting, speaking, and teaching!
