Kasese, Uganda: Lessons Learned!

The UCE team was invited to King Jesus secondary school on March 12, 2018 where in January 2018,  a female student died of abortion; she had been impregnated by her boyfriend and fellow student in the school. When the girl realized she was pregnant she told the boyfriend. His response was to tell the girl to abort which left her dead. The team used the above incidence to encourage students to abstain and concentrate on their books. Female students were encouraged to always say NO to boys/men sexual favors. Girls should be bold enough to say NO.  Otherwise they suffer the consequence from school dropout, deaths due abortions and early pregnancies.  HIV/AIDS is real and claiming so many lives. Abstinence is the 100%  effective means of preventing HIV/AIDS and STIs. 61 students boldly signed abstinence card!
