Hannah Rush, BA, A.Th.

Member, UCE Board (2017-present)

Hannah was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado. She has been married since 1978 to David Rush, a local businessman. Hannah was born into a large Catholic family and early in her life learned about God.  She graduated from Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, with a B.A. in anthropology with an emphasis in archaeology. As she went through college the influences and philosophies of godless evolution took their toll.  She decided to turn away from God and chose atheism.  During the next several years she worked as an archaeologist mostly in the western United States.  It was during a trip to Africa in 1973 that God began to speak to her about the purpose of life—why am I here, where did I come from, and what is my purpose?  Upon returning to the States in 1974, she wanted to know the truth and chose Christ as her one, true and only God.  Within a few years, she decided to attend Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, and earned an Associate of Theology in 1978.  Since that time, she has been active in teaching Bible studies, leading prayer groups, volunteering in prison ministry, has led a number of study groups to Israel, and even taken Bibles into Communist China.  In 2009 she started her own business, Hannah’s Helping Hands, Inc, a companionship and home health care service for the elderly.  Hannah says about all her activities “Instead of finding old buried and broken treasures and restoring them as an archeologist would, I now desire to help people rebuild and restore their lives that have been broken and destroyed by sin and life’s circumstances.”  She draws her inspiration from Holy Scripture, Isaiah 58:12, Those from among you shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.
